  • It adds new cyberware options and a way to fight with two weapons.
  • CD Projekt Red says the Switch 2 version will follow shortly.

CD Projekt Red released version 2.5 of Cyberpunk 2077 on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The studio calls it the Edgerunners 2 Update. It is free for people who already own the game. According to the studio's website, it came out on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. The studio says it is "coming soon" to Nintendo Switch 2, but it has not given a date.

The two main additions are new looks for cyberware and a way to use two guns at once. According to the official patch notes, players can change the style and colours of four implants, including Mantis Blades and Gorilla Arms, at five new shops called Glamdocs. A new perk called Double Trouble, in the Cool skill tree, lets players hold a pistol or revolver from the Power category in each hand.

The update also adds a side quest called Clampdown, set before the events of the new anime. It brings a five-piece gear set based on the character King, a radio station called HKGN 102.0 FM with music from the series, and five new outfit sets. Console players get a field of view slider, and mods from mod.io can now be installed from inside the game.

The update is timed with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the second anime season, which Shacknews reports premiered on Netflix on October 20. CD Projekt Red showed the update in a REDstreams broadcast on October 21 and published the full notes the same day.

The main open question is the Switch 2 version. Other reports said Switch 2 players would wait "a few days", but CD Projekt Red has not confirmed a date.
